 Psychosocial Support

Making a Difference

H.O.A offers counseling sessions to survivors of GBV. Our aim is to provide psychological and emotional support that can help the women and girls find healing. GBV, notably,  has negative life-long effects on women and girls’ psychological and mental well-being.. In most cases, it is prevalent for one to undergo therapy to find healing. However,  psychological and mental health care is expensive and therefore not readily accessible to those who need it due to financial constraints, making it crucial for H.O.A to intervene and assist these women and girls, or refer to qualified Psychologists and Psychiatrists for further assistance.

Doing What’s Needed

It is imperative for us to empower women and girls with the knowledge that helps them understand the dynamics around GBV. It is of paramount importance for us to educate them about the forms of abuse, effects of abuse, and resources available for women and girls who are being abused inter alia. H.O.A strives to give  survivors of abuse a chance to lead normal lives again and be independent and self-reliant. We strive to restore hope and strength to women and girls who may be feeling lost, alone, and stuck.

Equipping the needy

In an effort to sustain the survivors' livelihoods, we equip them with different skills through projects that help them take care of themselves and be independent. There is strength in being self-sufficient hence we have projects lined up for them to become just that.
